Promotion trip for $298.00

Got a call everyday for 1week from Consumer Services of America ,saying I brought a trip for $298.00. For 4 day/3 nights Orlando, 2 mini trips 3days /2nights Daytona or 25 other areas, 1- 8/7 day cruise and 2 airline tickets. But 2 yrs ago you didn't use them and you must pay 1000.00 for not completing your agreement of not going to these resorts for 90 min presentations. Or pay reduced $598.00 for vacation. Can I get confirmation or proof I purchased them? We have your verbal phone consent and mailed confirmation you received it. If I hang up I will refer this acct# to collection agency. So Stupid me I paid for it. That was Omega Travel. They said there are 4 travel agencies representing this Consumer Services. I asked different named agencies? They are under Many different Names! Then, I will get confirmation from Newport Travel. I remembered lasted year they tried to scam me and I had to notify the vice pres. to reverse charges. Did you know if you have traveled and especially have a timeshare you are on a list! They know all your vacations dates, locations and make you believe you paid for a promotion vacation you forgot to take years ago >2yrs. YOU MUST OF FORGOTTEN WITH YOUR BUSY SCHEDULES! They know alot about you! That's what the vice pres. told me. I don't think she's working for them-I didn't see her name. Beware!!! My only Good Guy from Newport Travel questioned- We have you on a NO CALL LIST But you STILL GOT CALLS? I told Jeff my experience and he said that's FRAUD! I will cancel theses charges, we don't do busy like that but it's these HIGH PRESSURE salespeople that give us business. I gave her name Leslie but that's probably not her real name. Her # 954-543-****. Remember it! They will try any SHARK METHOD to get any sale they can! I don't want to take any vacations anymore cuz I don't trust people! Sucker KK.

Phone Harrassment continues

A few years ago I received a call about dicount vacations that could be enjoyed over an 18 month period.Well I never took those vacations. 2 years later I received a call that because I wasn't taking those vacations a large charge would be put on my credit card. NO NO NO. But to be "nice" the manager offered to only charge me a smaller amount this time and "give" me the vacations and I would never hear from them again. That was about 18 months ago. 3 months passed and I received another call. From another manager. This time I hung up. Today (18 months later again) I received a call from "the Director" threatening me that they were a collection agency for the company and were going to place a lein on me for over three thousand dollars. He called over and over again after I hung up on him. So now I have blocked their number. And I will report them to the North Florida Chamber of Commerce.

A call from Rob - saying that I had not used a package I had paid for and he was going charge me an additional amount

I asked Rob if he had the contract number so I could check my records - He had me hold for a manager - Mike Schmitt (Manager) came on the line with a CSA contract number and said I owed ~ $ 900.00 that they would charge to my CC Account because we didn't perform the obligatory visit (which we believed we did). I asked him to hold so I could get my paperwork - He became impatient and when I asked if I could read back the Contract number he became irate and said that I had just forced him to charge my CC account the full amount. I went to the Special-T-Travel site and called their CSA customer complaint number and told them the story - They confirmed that they do not out-source collections, are not associated in any way with CSA, advised me that I had no outstanding obligation, and to ignore this harassing call. Add this to the many scams going on.

Telephone Scam from Travel Solutions representing Consumer Service America

On Nov 29, 2014, I was called by Melissa at 954-687-**** saying my vacation package had expired and they had my credit card # and were going to charge me $1000 for not using it unless we resolved it today by me paying $389 and plan a trip. She said we paid for the 1st passenger in 2012 and owed for 2nd passenger. We never planned or took a vacation, and never planned anything. We did receive a call in 2012, got talked into charging $50 to join, but had 3 days to cancel. We called back immediately and cancelled. She gave me what she called an audio confirmation number that made us liable for $1000. She told me to calm down and talk maturely and she could get my $1000 back by paying $389 and enjoying a vacation. She quoted the 1st 4 digits of my credit card saying she had it and would charge the $1000 that I owed. Luckily, I no longer have that card and told her that. She said she could still charge it because I was obligated, and it would roll over to my new card, so I might as well settle for $389 which would include a vacation. DON"T GIVE THESE PEOPLE INFORMATION. I hung up, but her number registered on my phone, so I called her back and started asking her questions. She hung up on me when I put her under pressure, and I called her back again and told her I had cancelled immediately in 2012 and within my 3 days to cancel. She said she would turn it back over to Consumer Services America and Travel T. She said we had purchased vacations we were responsible for twice. We have never purchased anything. She said we paid $269 for one passenger in 2012, but there were no charges to my credit card in 2012 for any travel. It is a "scare tactic scam." Do not ever give your credit card information or purchase a vacation package or time share when a person calls you. It is a scam. I spoke with my credit card company who said she was trying to get money for another vacation to obligate me.

Will not stop calling.

We purchased a travel package in November 2012 and did not use it. Our name has been placed on a Florida wide list of folks who have let their purchase lapse. We receive several calls a week from various firms trying to sell us a package to allow us to use our expired package. We were called this week and offered a package for only $598 that would give us airfare and an 8 day cruise, when I hesitated the price dropped to $398 and they promised to put our name on a do not call list so we would receive no more calls. When I told them we did not want their package, but did want to be put on a do not call list. I was told that this would cost $59.00!! Once again I told them no. When they call again I'll tie up their phone line for as long as possible in order to run their costs in phone bills and employee wages up

BE WARNED

PLEASE BE WARNED. I received a phone call from a J. Clark from Corporate Travel claiming that if I wanted to continue to have the vacation package to Florida (provision: 90 min presentation) that I need to pay the additional $1,200 that is due and that they will charge to my credit card. All they need is my authorization. I told Ms. Clark that the package I purchased in November, 2011 is paid in full and did not have any additional amount due. She continued to say that if I wanted to keep this package that I have to pay the additional amount or risk to lose the the package. She sounded very authoritative. I requested that they put me on do not call list and hanged up. I contacted CSA to check the validity of this call and confirmed that this call was a SCAM. PLEASE BE WARNED.

CONSUMER SERVICES AMERICA SCAM

I received a call from a Rob from Consumer Services America. He informed me that a package I had purchased earlier this year was in expired status due to my not paying my second travelors ticket. I explained I had the package and nothing was in the fine print about any further money. In fact my package stated amount due was zero. He asked me to hold on, sounding very confused and moments later I was greeted by an Ashley who was a manager. She started off very sweet and then became very frustrated the more questions I asked. She directed me to this very site to show me what a scam specialty travel was and when I still wanted to call them just to double check she changed from beauty to beast ranting on and on for me not to be *** and that she who is the travel devision yet there is not such thing online from what I can find was going to ensure I be responsible for every cancellation fee if I didn't take her help because she was the one that determined how much I pay even if I went with her b.s. option B. I called Special T Travel and they contacted the bbb with me and they have an A Plus rating and CSA has numerous complaints for trying to impersonate Special T. Thank Ashley if you've fallen for this scam.

The same scam is being used by some representing themselves as Omega Travel. I received a call from a representative from Omega travel that was trying to leverage off of a purchase agreement with Consumer Services America.

He informed me that a package I had purchased four years ago was in expired status due to my not using the purchase of a promotional travel deal.

I explained I had never received a travel package where there was any additional payment in the fine print about any further money. He asked me to hold on and moments later I was greeted by a manager that I was going to be responsible for every cancellation fee if I didn't take their help.

The whole premise of the telephone solicitation is bogus because there was no travel purchases in 2012

Had the same phone call telling me Special T travel would charge me $1,200 since I didn't take the vacation! What a scam! Don't fall for it!!!!

Caution they are posting on this website as customers saying they had a great trip. this site does not verify who you are so there tactic is to post on this site and other sites like this as customers so they don't seem like so much of a scam. DON'T FALL FOR IT!

Consumer Services America called and said they saw I hadn't used a prepaid vacation to FLorida and said I had to pay for the second ticket or I would be reported to a credit agency. I said I'm not buying it and they then said, the conversation is being recorder, which I did not believe since no disclosure of recording was announced before speaking commenced.

This particular guy was lying. He made it sound like the prepaid vacation came to them. That vacation was through a totally different company with whom they have no relation and can be renewed for only $99 and includes up to 4 people. SO his statement that I would be reported to a credit agency for not buying the second ticket annoyed me so greatly I am reporting them where ever I can.

I have been called before by these people, they are trying to sell vacation packages to Florida some of which require sitting in on a 90 minute sales pitch at a resort.

They act desperate and try to pressure you into giving your credit card right then and there. There is no calling back or checking out the offer.

I received a call from CSA saying I owed for another ticket of 349.00. I told him I had purchased with Special T Travels 2 yrs ago for 199.

and it had expired and a lady manager called me back after the 2 yrs to RENEW it for 99.00. I did she said we could travel here OR here OR it was always a or not all these places.. The guy from CSA kept telling me how could it was I told him I hadn't used it in 3 yrs I wasn't going to use it he wanted to know why. We stayed on the phone about 10 mins with his threat this is being recorded at first I told him I didn't sign anything then he kept talking and I said I don't remember that and he said you didn't, or you don't remember now I can't tell if your telling the truth or lying...

Bottom line he wanted money and raised his voice when I said I don't have it and he says I see it right here on your card..

I told him to do what he had to do he got mad and this made me mad he said oh, your a deadbeat that don't pay when he got to pay I said, *** and hung up. 30 mins later someone else called and ask for me and I told him I had just received a call from them and he ask if I had settled my account I said no and I'm not going to he said thanks and bye..

I was a bit skeptical after reading the negative reviews but decided to give it a shot since my brother had taken a vacation package with CSA and was raving about them. I spoke to "Joe" and he explained to me how the trip would work.

4 Days/3 Nights Vacation Getaway to Orlando & then a 4 night cruise on Carnival from Miami to Key West & Cozumel. "Joe" was very pleasant on the phone and he was thorough with his explanation on how the vacation will go. When we got to the most important part(The Cost)I was floored by how low it was $698 for all that. I was super skeptical but Joe had answers for all my question and assured me things will go as planned.

After getting off the phone with the rep I felt a whole lot better about this trip. I got to Orlando on January 4 and the trip was everything I hoped plus more.

The amenities where top of the line, the staff at the resort went above and beyond to ensure that I enjoyed my trip. Can't wait until my cruise!!!!!

I had a similar situation today occur. The individual stated that a payment plan was setup for the vacation package and originally paid $399 as a downpayment and another $1300 and some change was due at the time the vacation was used.

Apparently the time to use that package was over and now they are going to send my account to collection if i didnt pay an additional $349 which would include a cruise! I could even hear the guy in the background talking to someone else say "he is going to to *** pay".

At that moment this whole situation sounded fishy. I never heard about this before, it definitely sounded like a scam.

Travel Package Scam

I was contacted by this company and told that I had a $200 deposit with them for a cruise. At first they tried to indicate they were associated with Specialty Travel, where I did pay a package that included a cruise. They told me this package normally costs $989, but since I already had a $200 deposit with them, it would only be $789. "no way, I'm not paying that. I got out my Specialty Travel folder and started asking questions and they finally admitted they were a different company. They transferred me to several people to convince me. They finally dropped the price to $489. I agreed and gave them a credit card. I was getting the cruise for my son and he didn't want it. He didn't want to go into the ports on the cruise. When I got my "welcome package" it was two pages printed on a computer with no mention of a cruise. Also they said it was life time with no expiration. The letters did not say anything about that. I called the "direct line" to Christine, who finally convince me to buy if I had questions. Only a week later, she no longer worked there. I told them it was causing too much problems in the family and I wanted to cancel. I already suspected this was a scam. They transferred me to a Mr. Don, a supervisor, who did more hard sell and finally agreed to cancel. A few days later he called and said there was a problem with financial department about my card was reported as unauthorized use. He didn't even remember me. I reminded him I cancelled package. He did more hard sell and now reduced the package to $298. It was tempting but I was sure this was a scam. I never put a $200 deposit with them. When I told him I was unimpressed with the welcome package, he got nasty and told me that was just a "welcome letter", everything was explained in the e-mail they sent me. I told him never got an e-mail. He said their records showed one was sent. I asked where it was sent because I never got one. He just said "to you". I asked what address. He never answered instead got more nasty. I told him he was really getting and attitude. He snapped he was not. I told him if I think he is, that's all that mattered. He then snapped he was cancelling my package, like he was punishing me. Bottom line- I believe this is a scam and very glad I cancelled.

Same as most everyone else I was told I had paid $200.00 earlier and they had this wonderful deal for me now. I only got scammed for $398.00 dollars. I am very upset I talked to Richard Marshall, Richard Stanley, Chad Pinto, Kathryn and a Mr. Ross who was the rudest of all. He was the one that said I would not be getting any money back because it was too late. He said he would give it to his General Manager. Right! I guess I should have known better. Did anyone get their money back? Please let me know.I am still trying to get my money back.

CLASS B MOTELS

There isn't any spa and the pool isn't heated. The place is so nasty nothing like the website indicates. I went into rm 219 where the sheets were dirty and all wrinkled like they didn't even change them. 1st thing I noticed was the moldy musty odor and nickel size cigarette burn in the ugly bedspread. Then it was the mismatch paint on the walls with sloppy caulking/patches from fights or something. The tv sat on a night stand much lower than the tall bed. The place just was real lowlife trash. Office comment about sheets "we don't do plancha", she is Oriental and I am as white as my Irish ancesters, so why is she talking to me in Spanglish? Plancha = Iron very poor attitude/customer service. I told my BF who was out working at the time & had not seen what he paid for to do something about it, because I'm out of here. No trash for me I deserve far better than the slums.

Consumer services of america rip off

after the 698 was charged for rooms and cruise, it took over a month to get the letter with the confirmation number. They promised to book a trip with 45 to 60 days notice. I gave them 75 days at least (called in January about april 7th and 8th) They didn't have availabilties. So I wanted a refund. They said they couldnt issue a refund since it had been over 30 days. Finally after a half hour or more later when they couldnt convince me to accept an extra hundred in coupons, they transfered me to 'accounts' and 'amanda' said they were issuing a refund and it would take 3 to 5 business days. I called back 3 weeks later asking to speak to Amanda and it was not the same person. This amanda of course said they couldnt issue a refund. Never EVER again will I even talk to telemarketers.

A phone call regarding additional charges going on my cc

out of the blue this lady called and asked me if I was aware of a trip that was not used by specialty travel and that according to the recording they were going to charge me an additional $800. for NOT using the trip when the initial deal said I would pay $698. For an additional traveller. I told her my frustrations with special-t-travel and she said she dealt with complaints about them every day and they are the worst agency out there. Then she offered to "save me" from these authorized charges that would automatically appear on my mc acct by purchasing it through consumer services America travel. She gave me her best deal of $395. For a package I originally paid $99. for. While she talked I told her would check her out on the Internet and she said I should do that. When I landed on this site I was shocked to see others reported this tactic! I told her what and where ihad found these reports and told her I would need to do more research before I made a deal with them. At that point I asked for a phone number to call her back after I did some research and she told me I could not call her back, she could not callme again since it was a one shot deal and her voice became agitated. Wow...now the red flags are flying high and loud all around me so I said goodby and wrote this complaint. Just sayin....it sounds like a scam to me.
